Bangladeshi men earn 3rd win in AHF Cup Hockey

Bangladesh Men's team earned their 3rd consecutive win, and the Women's team conceded their first defeat in the Junior AHF Cup (U-21) Hockey Tournament at the Sengkang Sports Centre in Singapore on Wednesday afternoon.

Coming from behind, the defending champion Bangladesh Men's Hockey team beat Thailand by 4-2 goals in their third match on Wednesday to take a solo lead in Pool A with an all-win run, securing a full nine points from three matches.

This was the first defeat for Thailand in their third Pool A match.

In the day's match, Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Islam, Aman Shorif, and Mohammad Hossain scored one goal each for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Men's team, which made a flying start in the meet, crushing hosts Singapore by 7-0 goals and beating Sri Lanka by 5-0 goals, will play Indonesia on Thursday (June 20) in their remaining Pool A match.

The Bangladesh Women's Hockey team tasted their first defeat in their fourth match, losing to Chinese Taipei by 0-3 goals on Wednesday afternoon.

After the day's match, the Bangladesh women's team secured nine points from four matches.

The Bangladesh Women's Hockey team, whichmade a good start in the meet, beating Thailand by 5-4 goals, Hong Kong (China) by 2-1 goals, and Sri Lanka by 7-2 goals, will play Indonesia on June 22 and Singapore on June 23 in the remaining matches.
